ABOUT

Growing up, I wanted to be a baseball player or a writer. But I couldn’t hit a curve ball. Or a fastball. Or even, to be honest, a not-so-fastball. By middle school, it became pretty obvious baseball wasn’t in my future. Fortunately, I wasn’t so lousy at writing. I never stopped.

Today, I write all sorts of things. I've had 30 books for children published, by big names like Penguin RandomHouse, Simon & Schuster, HarperCollins, and Scholastic. I've written for television and the theater. But before all that, and during all that, and probably after all that, I've been a copywriter and creative director for an incredibly diverse group of clients and industries. I've written pretty much everything you can think of: websites, TV, radio, collateral, print, and so many social posts and blog articles I dream SEO.

I’m based in Chicago and have lived here for years. But, like everyone, I can Zoom (or Teams or the virtual app of your choice) anywhere, and often do.
